Lubbock ISD is proud to offer SOAR PreK at campuses throughout the district. SOAR PreK offers exciting curriculum aligned to kindergarten standards and will challenge students as it prepares them for the rigors of kindergarten. SOAR PreK offers learning experiences based on current research and certified teachers who receive ongoing professional development to hone their skills. Instruction is engaging and is designed to meet the needs of each learner.

Who is Eligible?

Children who are 3 to 5 years old are eligible for Head Start services. Pregnant women and children from birth to 3 years of age are eligible for Early Head Start services. Children and families who are homeless, in foster care, or receive TANF or SSI are also eligible for services. Eligibility is determined by Head Start program staff and some families may be eligible for services if they are determined to be at or below the federal poverty level. Some grantees enroll a percentage of children from families with incomes above the Poverty Guidelines as well.

How to Apply
The following documents must be provided for enrollment: Birth Certificate Social Security Card Immunization Record Proof of Address TUITION Tuition is $4000 for the 2013-2014 school year. TUITION WAIVER: At Round Up families may schedule an appointment to determine eligibility for a tuition waiver. Documentation of eligibility must be provided at the appointment. Students may qualify for a tuition waiver if they live inside Lubbock ISD boundaries and meet at least one of the following criteria: is unable to speak and comprehend the English language is educationally disadvantaged is homeless is the child of an active duty member of the armed forces or whose parent who was injured or killed while serving on active duty; or is or ever has been in the conservatorship of the Department of Family and Protective Services following an adversary hearing held as provided by Section 262.201, Family Code.
