Comment: I’m giving Booker T. headstart a 2 and the 2 is because the teacher and para are amazing. These policies however, are extremely ridiculous. Today I was told that my son cannot attend school the following day because this is his 4th tardy this month. I brought my son to school 9 minutes late. (Not an hour. It’s never been more than a few minutes) We are low income parents working multiple jobs and going to school in hopes to get out of this situation. I’m sorry that I am a single mother, chauffeur, student, full time employee, and I slept in an extra 5 minutes which resulted in MY SON suffering. These policies are ridiculous and they need to be overruled. Whomever is coming up with these dense policies, clearly have never been a single parent, employee of multiple jobs, a student , who occasionally gets drained and moves a little slower when they’re worn out. Now I have to explain to a four year old that his tired mother waking up a few minutes late, resulted in him being banned from school the next day. This program is extremely frustrating. I thought we wanted our kids in school? Why are we punishing CHILDREN? I called to speak with someone and no one ever answered the phone. I tried to leave a message and boom, no surprise, the phone hangs up.
