CRIT Head Start is committed to offering a program that provides and embraces a vision of health and wellness for children and families. Our goal is to ensure that through collaboration among families, staff and health professionals that every child's health and developmental concerns will be identified.

Children who are 3 to 5 years old are eligible for Head Start services. Pregnant women and children from birth to 3 years of age are eligible for Early Head Start services. Children and families who are homeless, in foster care, or receive TANF or SSI are also eligible for services. Eligibility is determined by Head Start program staff and some families may be eligible for services if they are determined to be at or below the federal poverty level. Some grantees enroll a percentage of children from families with incomes above the Poverty Guidelines as well.

Families are encouraged to apply.

CRIT Head Start is currently accepting applications for the 2010-2011 program year. A child must be between ages 3 to 4 by August 31, 2010. Enrollment packets may be picked up at the Head Start center, located at 18026 Mohave Road in the Parker Valley. If you are unable to come to the center, a packet can be mailed to you by calling the number provided above. Parent/Guardians must have the child's birth certificate, immunization record and proof of income (W-2, 2009 Tax return, TANF statement, current month check stubs). If the child is a tribal member, please bring the child's certificate of enrollment. For more information, please contact Cheryl A. All children must have a health screening, Tuberculosis Test (TB), and a Blood Lead Level to complete their application for the program.
