CAP Tulsa has13 state-of-the-art early childhood education centers in Tulsa and Sand Springs, offering high-quality education for children birth through four years old. Most of our centers are co-located with Tulsa, Union and Sand Springs Public Schools so children have a smooth transition between preschool and elementary school, ensuring continuity of care and supporting healthy habits of parental engagement with your child’s educational system.

Who is Eligible?
Children who are 3 to 5 years old are eligible for Head Start services. Pregnant women and
children from birth to 3 years of age are eligible for Early Head Start services. Children and
families who are homeless, in foster care, or receive TANF or SSI are also eligible for
services. Eligibility is determined by Head Start program staff and some families may be
eligible for services if they are determined to be at or below the federal poverty level. Some
grantees enroll a percentage of children from families with incomes above the Poverty Guidelines
as well.
Families are encouraged to apply.
How to Apply
Applications accepted Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., at CAP Tulsa’s main office, 4606 S. Garnett Road, in the Exchange Center East Building, 1st Floor. Applications must be completed by a parent or legal guardian.
To complete a child’s application, parents or guardians must bring:
Birth Certificate for each child applying
Current Photo ID of parent/guardian completing the application
Proof of current address
Proof of family income (for both parents, if both parents are employed or if custody is shared)
Proof of current immunizations
Child’s proof of health insurance (if available)
Current Well-Child Checkup (if available)
(Applications that do not include the documents above will not be accepted)
Acceptable Proofs of ID include one of the following documents with a current picture of the parent/guardian completing the application:
Government issued photo ID from the U.S. or any country
Drivers license
Resident ID card
Work permit card
High School ID
College ID
