Each head start program focuses on providing comprehensive services designed to enhance a child's emotional, social, cultural, language, reading, mathematics, science, health and nutrition education.

Sunbeam's Early Childhood Services provide care to the youngest members of our community through center-based and home-based care. Center-based care includes the operation of Oklahoma City Educare, Tony Reyes Bilingual Child Development Center Early Head Start, Emerson Alternative High School Early Head Start. Home-Based Care includes services to expectant mothers and services for children, ages birth to three. Community Action Development Corporation Head Start operates 16 Head Start Centers in the seven county service area, serving approximately 500 children each year. Head Start serves 3 and 4 year old children with priority being given to low-income families. However, all families are encouraged to apply and children are served as space and regulations allow.
CAP Tulsa has13 state-of-the-art early childhood education centers in Tulsa and Sand Springs, offering high-quality education for children birth through four years old. Most of our centers are co-located with Tulsa, Union and Sand Springs Public Schools so children have a smooth transition between preschool and elementary school, ensuring continuity of care and supporting healthy habits of parental engagement with your child’s educational system.
