Details
Dolgeville Head Start is a program where children from the ages 3-5 can come for early education before kindergarten. Head Start is federally funded, and the class takes a few field trips during the year. A typical week in the class is Monday through Thursday 8:00AM to 3:00PM, and many times parents come in to volunteer. Mrs. Pescatore is the teacher for the class. Her class consists of 18 students. The students learn the alphabet, numbers1-10, colors, shapes, learn to write their own name, and plant flowers for their science. The students also learn some animals and their sounds (moo). There are also some common day things that are taught, like tying a shoe, zipping a jacket, and buttoning a shirt..
