We are a federally funded low income preschool program for 210 children ages 3-5 yrs. old throughout Osage County. We have 12 classrooms in 7 communities: Pawhuska has two (2) classrooms, Skiatook has three (3) classrooms, Barnsdall has one (1) classroom, Fairfax has three (3) classrooms, Shidler has one (1) classroom, McCord has one (1) classroom, Hominy has one (1) classroom

Who is Eligible?
Children who are 3 to 5 years old are eligible for Head Start services. Pregnant women and
children from birth to 3 years of age are eligible for Early Head Start services. Children and
families who are homeless, in foster care, or receive TANF or SSI are also eligible for
services. Eligibility is determined by Head Start program staff and some families may be
eligible for services if they are determined to be at or below the federal poverty level. Some
grantees enroll a percentage of children from families with incomes above the Poverty Guidelines
as well.

This is a RECRUITMENT application only. This does not guarantee your child's acceptance. The children are accepted by guidelines established by our Parent Policy Council and by the Office of Head Start Federally Mandated Guidelines. We serve families throughout Osage Country area in a manner that does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age or disabilities.
